CebuBasilio's Manga Review: Fairy Tail
Ok just to point out I'm not doing this for the post counts or anything. I just want you guys, to be more open to manga, and at the same time introduce you people to some mangas that aren't as famous as those you guys usually discuss around here. It's better that way, so we can have more things to discuss back in this forum ^^.
Also help me, find a manga to review for you! Is there a certain genre you would want to look unto perhaps? Feeling perverted? Ecchi or harem manga is your type? Love some mine twisting psychological ones? please post comments, suggestions and whatnot! it wouldn't hurt to voice things out, you know
Ok, next stop:
Fairy Tail
Author and Artist: Mashima Hiro
Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy
link: HERE
Summary by Manga Traders:
Celestial wizard Lucy wants to join the Fairy Tail, a guild for the most powerful wizards. But instead, her ambitions land her in the clutches of a gang of unsavory pirates led by a devious magician. Her only hope is Natsu, a strange boy she happens to meet on her travels. Natsu's not your typical hero - but he just might be Lucy's best hope.
What I have to say:
Though saying it's a guild of wizards(or mages), you won't be seeing guys standing still and casting spells with long chants. You'll be seeing face paced action with a laugh or two at every battle. The art, it's really good and at some point some would point out it's similarity with One Piece's art, small wonder since Mashima once worked together with Oda(artist of One Piece). The plot is good with unexpected plots twist that would leave you on on the edge of your chair and say "I didn't expect that!" The manga offers an array of characters, it has guilds in it... what do you expect? With many character to love and hate (and fantasize over). Rave Master fans also enjoy some fan service as Mashima added some cameos of the endeared Plue and Rave Master characters. Over all this manga is a must read for those who love action but would love to get on the floor laughing there asses off.
