Rumors of CS 126
I know it's too early for this, but I know that CS126 is the breaking point of the course. It's either one graduates or shifts because of this. After this, everyone who passes is practically a CS graduate already.
Anyway, I heard that the teacher for this one is Mrs. Peña, the woman who convinced me to take BSCS in the first place instead of BSIT. I heard that she gives either 1.0 or 5.0. It's one or the other, all or nothing, pass or fail. I also heard that she gives you no reason to blame her for your grade. Instead, she always makes it so that you're the cause whether you have to say goodbye to your CS dreams.
How much of this is true? Anything to help those in first and second years?

^Being IT will not help you HAHA
she gives all kinds of grades... not just 1.0 and 5.0
you don't have to say goodbye if you just work hard.
116, 121, 126 programming subjects need tons of practice.
A LOT of practice... not a LOT of STUDYING/MEMORIZING.
In a lot of cases people don't seem to try hard enough, a lot just give up.
But there are those that has taken this subject... 2, 3, maybe 5 times?
and passed. =D

Thumbs up for furfur...
126 doesn't need much of your memory but rather much of your skills
it's the do or die of our path...
better practice those logical skills of yours to get ready for 126...

Re: Rumors of CS 126
I have to agree with Brian. It all boils down to practice. Even I have regretted not practicing hard enough though wala ko makaretake. It just that na there's a feeling na I could have done better instead. A piece of advice, try to understand much of 121 at first and avoid comp games, laziness, and most of all, avoid losing hope. And guys, mrs. Peña is the only porfessor i've known who handles CSIT 126 ever since. wala nay lain mas gahi pa ni mam sa 126!
God Bless sa mukuha ug 126 next sem and taking up 121 now. Do your best guys

Re: Rumors of CS 126
hahaha, sakto pud pud charry.. cge ko ka-late sa una..
practice lng jud matud pa ni brian.. there's no room for laziness in CSIT126..
everyone is intelligent.. one just has to find a way to use that intelligence to solve the problems that ma'am peña gives.. another piece of advices: be alert during discussions, allot time for programming practices, and be careful during tests..
carelessness during tests can really piss you off.. trust me, i experienced that.. hehe..
Godspeed to all of us.. ^^
